Privacy

This is a small site run by one person. I collect as little as I can, I do not sell anything to anybody, and I would rather explain that plainly than hide it in legal language.

What I collect

If you write to me through the form on the Studio page, I receive your name, your email address, whatever you tell me about the piece, the location you give me, any deadline, and any reference photograph you choose to attach. If you email me directly, I have whatever is in your email.

I do not run advertising, and I do not use tracking or analytics cookies. The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.

Reference photographs

This matters more than the rest, so it gets its own section.

• Photographs are used for one purpose: to draw and burn the piece you asked for.
• I do not share them with anyone, sell them, or use them to train anything.
• I keep a photograph while the work is in progress. When the piece is finished and delivered, tell me to delete it and I will, that day.
• I will not publish a finished piece, or a photograph of one, without asking you first. If the answer is no, the answer is no, and it does not affect anything else.
• If the photograph shows a child, or anyone other than you, please only send it if you have the right to. Memorial and family pieces are some of the most meaningful work I do, and I want to handle them carefully.

How long I keep things

Enquiries stay in my email. Contact details for a completed commission are kept so I can answer questions later about a piece I made. Ask me to delete your information and I will, including anything held in form records, and I will confirm when it is done.

Who else sees it

Form submissions arrive through Netlify and land in my email. Nothing is passed to anyone else. There is no mailing list on this site at the moment; if I start one, joining it will be a separate decision you make on purpose.

Your rights

Ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to jamaal@jahruss.com and I will answer.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this changes I will change the date at the top. I am in the Dominican Republic and my readers and clients are in several countries, so if something here does not satisfy a requirement where you live, tell me and I will fix it.
